The Faculty of Agriculture and Husbandry in UMM
The
Faculty of Agriculture and Husbandry is the result from integration
between Agriculture faculty and Husbandry faculty which was conducted on
July 2009 based on the rector decree no. 1 2009. The integration this 2
faculty conducted in the effort to improve efficiency and optimization
of resource. The faculty of Agriculture and Husbandry has 6 program
studies there are: 1. Agrotechnology program, 2. Agribisnis Program, 3.
Food science & Technology program, 4. Forestry program, 5. Animal
Husbandry program, 6. Water Cultivation program. Agronomy department
(Agrotechnology) at the first named Agricultural cultivation. This
department was operated from 1980, got register status in 1985 no. 070/0/1985,
Avowed status in 1987 no: 0387/0/1987, Equated status in July 18, 1989
no: 0447/0/1989 and got acreditation with the value B based on decree of
National Universities Accreditation Board no: 03374/Ak-1-III-006/UMMAGR/V/2000.

Next
five years, precisely on August 25, 2005 increasing acreditation status
to A (BAN-PT Nomor : 015/BAN-PT/Ak-IX/S1/VIII/2005). Than on December
23, 2010 acreditation satus of Agrotechnology program still A based on
the decree BAN-PT Nomor:032/BAN-PT/Ak-XIII/SI/XII/2010.
Agribisnis
Department at the beginning named department of Socio-Agricultural
Economic. This study program operate in 1984 based on operating permit
on the letter of recommendation coordinator Kopertise Region VII East
Java No. 2076/Kop.VII/Q/1984 december 15, 1984. Registered status
obtainable on february 1985 based on decree Ministry of Education and
culture No. 134/DIKTI/Kep/1992. Equeted status obtainable on September 28, 1998 based on decree Ministry of Education and culture No. 149/DIKTI/Kep/1995. Finally the program of Socio-Agricultural Economic acredited on August 11, 1998 and the value is B based on the decree of BAN-PT No. 01162/Ak.1-1/UMMSTE/VIII/1998. Than on december 5, 2003 acredited B based on the decree of National Universities Accreditation Board no. 05875/Ak-VII-S1-027/UMMSTE/IX/2003.
Food
science and technology program established on 1993, based on the decree
of Director General of Higher Education no: 118/DIKTI/Kep/1993. In 2000
food science and technology program University of Muhammadiyah Malang,
obtained acreditation status with the value B, based on the decree of
BAN DIKTI No: 028/BAN-PT/Ak-IV/2000, on October 5, 2000. In next 5 years
exactly on January 26, 2006 acreditation status was increased in to A
(BAN-PT Nomor : 08285/Ak-IX-S1-028/UMMLLP/I/2006). On January 28, 2011
obtained B status acreditation based on the decree BAN-PT No: 043/BAN-PT/Ak-XIII/SI/2011.
Forestry
program is organizer of education institution with Forest Cultivation
Program, which was established on academic year 1999/2000 under the
auspices of agriculture and husbandry faculty University Of Muhammadiyah
Malang. The establishment of this forestry department is to meet the
demands of the development of forestry that was increasingly complex. On
January 30, 2004 forestry got the accreditation with the value C based
on the decree BAN-PT No: 003/BAN-PT/Ak-VII/S1/I/2004.
And next three years with every efforts to repair exactly on May 19,
2007, the acreditation status was increased become B (BAN-PT Nomor :
010/BAN-PT/Ak-X/S1/V/2007). On June 8, 2012 Forestry Program obtained
acreditation status with B value based on the decree BAN PT No: 013/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/SI/VI/2012.
Animal
Husbandry program, with livestock production program study, established
in 1987, under the auspices of Animal Husbandry Faculty UMM, based on
the decree of coordinator KOPERTIS region VII, no: 173 /
Q 1987, December 22, 1987. Equeted status was obtained for Livestock
Production department by the decree of Mendikbud No. 149/DIKTI/Kep/1995
on june 5, 1995. Acreditation status was obntained for Department of
Livestock Poduction in 1998 (Terakreditasi Nomer: 02023/AK-II/UMMCYT/XII/1998). In 2002, Livestock Production Program acredited A based on the decree No : 05030 / Ak - V- S1- 009/UMM CYT/V/2002, on may 20, 2002. Acreditation A was achieved again in 2007, based on the decree BAN-PT
No. 015/BAN-PT/Ak-X/S1/VII/2007. Based on the decree of Director
General of higher education, Department of National Education RI No.
163/DIKTI/KEP/2007, than the Program of Livestock Production changed to
Animal Husbandry Program. Since 2012 this department was obtained the
acreditation with A value based on the decree of BAN-PT No: 013/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/SI/VI/2012.
Fishery
Department was one of department in the Faculty of Agriculture and
Husbandry UMM. This department opened in 1995 whit Registered Status
based on the decree Director General of Higher Education Department of
Education and Culture RI no: 160/DIKN/Kep/1995. Today,
fishery department continue to growth rapidly and in 2000 and 2006
Fishery Department the Faculty on Agriculture and Husbandry UMM was
obtained acreditation status with good value (B). In 2011 the
acreditation status was increased into A based on the decree of BAN-PT
no: 046/BAN-PT/Ak-XIII/SI/II/2011.
